The expected rain held off (except for a sprinkle on the Seniors) as four coed races by class were run at the Cedarcrest Golf Course in Marysville.  Our lone Freshman was easy to chase around the course with a Nikon.  The same could not be said for the next race of eight Sophomores. 

I am reminded of hydroplane races on Lake Washington.  When a boat leaves the pits there is no guarantee it will return whole.  In this final race before the league championships, a few Viking runners experienced "mechanical difficulties."  Will they be able to get back up to top racing form by next Friday?  They race at Kelsey Creek Park beginning at 3:30PM.
