With the addition of Val, the BCS varsity girls took second place behind a seemingly unstoppable Northwest squad.  If Noelle can "heel up" in time, we should see an even closer race in Marysville on October 3rd and at Lower Woodland Park on October 6th.  Noelle might have earned "picture of the year" for her sportsmanship.  Injured herself, she stopped to help an exhausted competitor who had fallen near the finish line.  (The temperature was over 85 degrees at Kelsey Creek Park and one mom reported that not a few racers reviewed their pre-race snacks after crossing the finish line.) 

The varsity boys split their squad to field teams in both the JV and varsity races.  We look forward to Michael's possible return and the exciting "twilight" meet next week.  Results are available at Athletic.net.
