The Bellevue Christian Vikings stepped out on their 2008 campaign in the annual Turtle Soup Relay race which they host at Kelsey Creek Park in Bellevue.

This race is a five-runner relay covering a fast 1.75 mile course.  Winning teams earn their 'turtle soup' by best predicting their combined times.  Special thanks to race sponsors Puma, The Foot Zone and Believe It Sports.  Nearly 280 athletes competed in this year's relay.

In 2008, the BCS men return 6 of their top 8 who earned a State berth, and look ready to defend their Emerald City League title which they captured in 2006 and 2007.

The lady Vikings ran with the minimum 5 members in 2007 but have stormed back with more than double that number and look like contenders to challenge The Bush School for the league title.  Their goal is a strong finish in the State meet in Pasco in November.

The next test for BCS will be on Tuesday, September 16, at the Loopy Lincoln Runs at Lincoln Park in Seattle. This will be the first Emerald City League meet of the young season.
