This is what Track and Field in May is all about.  The sun comes out and the competition heats up.

This late afternoon contest at West Seattle Stadium was the final meet before the Emerald City League Championships which begin on Thursday at King's High School in Shoreline.

 
   
 
   
 
 
 
 

Track & Field need not end at High School graduation, as these recent BCS alums attest.  These four, all multiple WIAA State Medalists while at BCS, raced at the Ken Foreman / Ken Shannon Invitational at the UW's Husky Stadium on Saturday, May 8th.

Central Washington University freshman, Kyle Fremd, ran 50.78 in the 400m, and 23.10 in the 200m, and helped the CWU "A" team to a 3:19.45 in the 4x400m relay. Chelsea Miller, junior at Northwest University, ran 59.42 in the 400m. . Nathanael Sleight, SPU sophomore, met the GNAC provisional qualifying standard with a 1:57.90 in the 800m.
