Rain over Snoqualmie Pass hinted at what was waiting for us in Cheney.  And Noelle's comment at lunch in Vantage ("I could run in this weather,") was anything but prophetic.  Coach Royce had added, "As long as it's not windy."  But by the time the BCS bus reached Sprague, we were in steady wind and rain.

Arriving in Cheney, the Viking pavilion was quickly erected and a very quick tour of the track was made -- then off to our hotel.

The boys triple jump kicks off the competition at 10:10 a.m. on Friday, along with the girls 4x200m relay at 10:15 a.m.

GO VIKINGS!

Once again (and as Doc predicted) the King's bus pulled in right beside us at Indian John Hill.

Thank you to the coaches for the netbook, with which I can report to y'all nightly.
And thank you to The Bellevue Reporter for their media sponsorship, so I can be your eyes on the field.
