There were a lot of familiar names and faces (like Altig, Hussey, Oldham, Milbank and Petrisor and many others) at the  BCS Track & Field practice on Wednesday, March 17th ― but there seemed to be just as many new faces on the team.  Coaches will get their first look at the 2010 Vikings in competition at the Skyline Jamboree on Thursday the 18th.  Coming off a fabulous 2009 season with the BCS girls taking 1st in State and the guys capturing 4th, there is a place for every Viking as the teams rebuild.

Winter gives way to Spring at the end of this week, and as your team photographer, I've just wrapped up the Wrestling season and I'm really looking forward to getting outside again.  This track season I've got twenty different high school and college meets scheduled with BCS and SPU.  I hope to get to as many of these as possible.

This is my fifth season chasing our Viking runners, jumpers and throwers.  It will take me most of the season to learn the names of all the athletes (and I'll fail miserably with the names of parents), but Coaches Sloan and Royce have reserved a place on the team bus for me and I'm delighted to join their team again this year.

Are you going to the BCS Gala and Auction next week?  Please do admire the 20"x30" framed collage of the 2009 WIAA 1A Girls State ChampionsThe suggested value did not include the photographer's labor.  That's my gift to y'all each season.
