The 2008 Emerald City League Championships kicked off on Thursday night May 8th and will wrap up on Saturday, May 10th.  Once again the meet was held at King's High School in Shoreline.

A few league titles were won on Thursday.  But the order of the day was to try to advance to the event finals which would be held on day two.

This is the point in the season where the winnowing process begins in the quest for a trip to State.  In some cases athletes ran or jumped or threw  for their final time this season.  Others survived to compete for the last time on Saturday.  A final handful of athletes in each event will represent their schools and the Emerald City League at next week's Tri-District Championships, again to be held at King's High School.
