The Vikings' second game came against the
Evergreen Wolverines (2A), from just south of the White Center
neighborhood of southwest Seattle. A balanced running and
passing attack gave BCS their second win with a 40-21 victory.
Evergreen looked intimidating and when they
scored first, some faint hearted fans began to worry. But
BCS stormed back to end the first half up 26-7.
The Vikings mixed up the run and pass and made
especially good use of their taller wide receivers.
Numerous plays will be remembered, but your
photographer will long recall wide receiver, senior Bryce Oldham
(#80), dragging a defender far down the visitor's sideline after
a reception.
Next Friday it's the Vikings' first road game,
this time to 1A LaConner, a league game which will no doubt
write the first chapter in a long rivalry.
